This is how it all began...

Friday, April 13th, 1913-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) Pregnant Woman Found Dead.

Saturday, April 14th, 1913-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) Walter and Luise Brolen Announce Daughters Birth! Walter Brolen, 36, and Luise Brolen, 23, announced the birth of their first child, Elsie Luise Brolen. She was born Blysthville Hospital, half before midnight. The wealthy couple seemed elated as they talked to the press just outside the hospital. This comes as good news since their last two children died moments after birth.

The birth of their daughter comes as a surprise, no one in the small town of Blysthville knew Mrs. Brolen was pregnant. None the less, everyone is happy for them, and we wish the Brolen family our congragulations.

April 14th, 1913-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) Fire Sets Ablaze in Small Building. Just moments before midnight struck, trajedy came upon the Blysthville Apartment Buildings. Witnesses say the two small apartment building suddendly burst into flames. There is no confirmed cause of the fire, and the police are still searching beneath the rubble for bodies. The buildings were located near the Blysthville Hospital, 13666 Detnuah Drive.

April 1st, 1914-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) Police Still Searching For Missing Baby. No clues. Dead end at every turn.

February 27, 1921-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) Missing Baby Case Closed. After 8 years of this case being unsolved, the police department has decided to close the case.

Seargent Peter McNather had this to say about the case, "In my opinion, we should have quit a log time ago."

April 15th, 1921-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.) What Happened to Elsie Brolen? The daughter of millionaires Walter and Luise Brolen hasnt been seen since she was 6. So what happened to her? I decided to interview close family and friends of the Brolens to get more details.

"Luise told me she was having trouble with Elsie around the age of six. She decided it was best to keep her indoors, thats why there are no recent publicity photos of her. The last time I was at the mansion, a famous doctor was treating Elsie- they feared for her sanity." (Mrs. Dolores, second cousin of Luise Brolen.)

"They keep Elsie locked in her room. They say she's losing her mind, but I can't help feeling sorry for the child. She never goes outside. Sometimes at night, you can hear her crying."

April 10, 1928-
(Taken from the Blysthville Informator.)
15 Year Old Elsie Brolen Found Dead. 1:15 Saturday morning, the Brolen mansion caught on fire. It took only minutes for the flames to spread. By the time anyone responded, Elsie Brolen was dead. The remains of her body were found in her room. Detectives have suspected she was abused by her parents for years, but there was no evidence supporting their theory.

Elsies window was broken open, and on the ground below police found a small diary and an old necklace. No reports on what the diary contained. Mr. and Mrs. Brolens bodies have not been found.

April 13th, 1985-
Mary and Robert Wenter, who were going out to dinner to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, were killed in a mysterious car accident. The police finally gave up and classified it as "hit and run." But there was nothing ordinary about this accident. The car was found upside down in a field approximately 2 miles away from the nearest road. The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Wenter were burnt beyond recognition, yet the car was not on fire. They were the parents of Rose, 22, Claire,18, and David Wenter, 7.

April 27th, 1985-
Robert and Mary Wenter were buried at Blysthville Cemetary. The only people who attended were their three children, there were no other living relatives.

April 21st, 1985-
The Wenter's older daughter, Rose, ran off after being proposed to by her high school sweetheart, Tony Diaro. Claire and David were left alone.

April 23rd, 1985-
Claire, who had just turned 18, gave up her dream of going to college to work three jobs so she could support herself and her brother David.

May 1st, 1985-
Rose and Tony decide to get married.

October 1st, 1985-
David Wenter is found dead in his home. Claire claimed she was not home at the time of his death. Further investigation finds that Claire had left work early that day, and could have been home at the time of the murder.

October 3rd-
Robert and Mary Wenter's case is re-opened.

October 5th, 1985-
The local sheriff collects enough evidence to issue a search warrant. Upon reaching Claire's home, he makes a gruesome discovery: Claire Wenter is dead.

October 7th, 1985-
The sheriff's department files the case as "suicide."

October 8th, 1985-
Claire's autopsy shows that she suffered from 3rd degree burns. But the cause of death was suffocation. There are bruises around her neck, but no cuts or puncture wounds. Medical examiners are baffeled and continue debating over the issue.

October 13th, 1985-
After seeking help from many different medical examiners, the case is dropped. The final cause of death: unknown.

October 26th, 1985-
Mary Wenter, Robert Wenter, David Wenter, and Claire Wenter's murder is unsolved.

April 13th, 1986-
Tony and Rose welcome a new addition to their family: Illena Claire Diaro.

September 14th, 1986-
Mary and Robert Wenter's case is dropped.

January 2nd, 1991-
Tony and Rose have a second child: Michael David Diaro.

April 13th, 2004-
Illena is celebrating her 18th birthday. Tony and Rose decide to go out to dinner so they can celebrate their anniversary early....
